PROPERTIES OF MBE SANDS
This method makes it possible to design, from a concrete composition, a mortar – called equivalent mortar (MBE) – whose rheological properties (collapse and spreading in the mini cone) are correlative to those of the concrete.
To produce this mortar, SNL proposes reference sands
SNL formulations are available for:
- Concrete
- Liquid Screed
- Self-compacting concrete
This sand will be usable only for comparative tests because of the fixed composition
PACKAGING
The weight of the MBE bags will be from 1 kg to 3 kg and made according to the volume of your batches to be ready for use for your tests and thus avoids tedious mixing tasks and above all ensures the regularity of the MBE sand to eliminate any bias in the results comparison.
The distribution of grain sizes is guaranteed at +/-2 gr.
