Standard Sand CEN EN 196-9

Hydration heat measure of cements semi-adiabatic method

USAGE

This sand is used for the measurement of the hydration heat of cements by semi-adiabetic calorimetry according to the Langavant method.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The CEN standard sand (ISO standard sand) is a natural and siliceous sand (silica > 98%)

The grains are round-shaped. The sand is washed, dried, sieved and prepared in a modern workshop offering all guarantees of quality and regularity.

The sand is packaged in polyethylene bags, each containing 1 080 +/- 1 g.

CONTROLS

The particle size composition is determined by sieving complies with the requirements of standards EN 196-1 (§ 5) and ISO 679: 2009 (§ 5).
