Comparative tests of cement and cement-adjuvant combination
USAGE
This test sand, developed in cooperation with the company OMYA, is intended for so-called “orientation” tests of binder and mortar formulations without having to use standardized sand, which must be reserved for certification tests. This sand allows to test the cement-adjuvant pairs both on the criteria of mechanical strength and on rheology and quality of use.
The regularity of the product and the multitude of possible tests with a single and unique test sand allows significant time saving for your formulation tests:
- Find the best cement-adjuvant pair for the desired performances when one must choose which adjuvant is best suited to a given cement or compare the performance of different cements with a given adjuvant.
- Test the performance of different hydraulic binders and additives, particularly in ternary cements, considering the growing diversification of possible additions and the multiple combinations to be tested.
This test sand may in no case be used for the certification of cement, which must be tested with a standard sand EN 196-1/ ISO679-2009
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The test sand is a mixture of a silica sand with a specific grain size curve with selected and dosed calcium carbonate for the optimization of tests.
DELIVERY
The test sand is conditioned to correspond to the batch volume.
